Soft Cell Bronx Concert reviews
Wonderful show again.
The show was thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless at the Pensacola Civic Center, a sports arena made of concrete, so the acoustics are not really suited to this type of performance. I missed "The Voice" from previous shows, but Songs from the Heart has less Celtic music, which is a little disappointing. They do a great job on all of the songs, especially the harmonies and most especially the A cappella "Danny Boy". The drummers are exceptional, and the musicians are so very talented, especially the piper, being Scottish, I really enjoyed. As we were leaving, I mentioned to my husband that he really didn't have a lot to do in the show for a world-champion piper, then we heard the pipes and we had to find them. He had brought his pipes outside to the main exit and was playing for the audience as we were leaving. Except we weren't, we were standing six deep in a semicircle, enjoying his music, cell phone videos rolling.
